Mt. Sinai Surgeon Shadowing

Renowned surgeons practicing by Miami Beach offer up their time to be shadowed by our members only!  So let us know of your interest and preferred speciality as well as availability so we can help set you on your way on the path to a surgical career.

Surgeon Speakers at Meetings

From Neurosurgeons to Hand Surgeons have presented at our clubs' meetings, imparting a sense of wisdom that any aspiring surgeon or doctor for that matter requires.  Learning about the procedures and outcomes of  real patient cases helps us all realize the personalized yet precise nature of medicine.

Suture/Central Line Clinic

Learning first-hand from a doctor is the best way to understand the everyday procedures performed by physicians.  So come sign up for our clinic to learn how to close up a patient or start a central line and let your surgical acumen grow from there!

Gross Anatomy Tutoring

For each section of the course, our Summer Fellowship trained M1's are led by our experienced M2's.  They also double as our Vice-Presidents whose sole job it is to provide our members with quality and valuable instruction.  Our sessions are held in small groups that rotate every few minutes so that each tutor can concentrate on a speciality area for the upcoming exam.  They are held the Saturday before the Gross exams and begin promptly at 8:30 am.

Scrub and Instrument Sales

Our distinguished scrubs come in Ceil or Navy Blue as well as classy Forest Green.  What's more is that they include the prestigious SOSA NSUCOM insignia on the pocket, making any medical student stand out.  For just $25, you too could dress like a skilled surgeon ready for operations or everyday class.

The instrument kits are specialized for cadaver dissection, which includes a scapel, probe, two scissors and retractors.  Be prepared for lab!
